- Description of training:
Day 1: (30 January, 2016)
Training session was inaugurated by Dr. Rashidun Nessa (Director, Planning & Research, DGHS). After her welcome speech Dr. ATM Iqbal Anwar (Scientist and Project Director, icddr,b) presented the objective of the study titled, “Strengthening capacities of national health authorities and icddr,b for better health policies and strategies for improved outcome” to the audience. After the introductory session, scheduled sessions were conducted by respective facilitators as follow:

The observers and participants provided their feedback in a ‘Training Evaluation Form’ after each interactive session. After the last session, there was a brief session for open discussion. Participants, facilitators and observers reached to consensus on following decisions
Feedback on the training:
Participants suggested that the DHIS2 presentation needs to be revised and make it easy for the audience. The NCD session was informative but the number of slides needs to be reduced. All accommodation and logistics issues needs to be developed in consultation with research and planning unit of DGHS. Pretest and posttest will be organized in the next sessions. Certificates will also be provided by the training organizers.
Closing remarks:
At the end of the training, Dr. Rashidun Nessa (Director, Planning & Research, DGHS), thanked everyone specially the organizers and participants for the excellent arrangement of the training sessions and concluded the session.
The three-day training session was ended at 5.00 pm, 1st February, 2016.
